With an expansive area of 56,000 m² and more than 66 million population, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area is the fourth bay area region in the world subsequent to the U.S New York Bay, U.S San Francisco Bay, and Japan Tokyo Bay. According to iiMedia Research's report in July, 2017, the GDP of the Greater Bay Area had reached to 1.38 trillion dollars and ranked second only to U.S New York Bay.

此次赛事由广东省体育局主办，广东省高尔夫球协会、香港高尔夫球总会、澳门高尔夫球总会共同承办，同时还获得了佛山高尔夫球会、广州翔龙集团有限公司、深圳市汉京集团有限公司、广东金贤集团有限公司、深圳市荣德集团、中滔环保集团有限公司、广东承兴控股集团有限公司等合作伙伴的大力支持。

Hosted by Guangdong Province Sports Bureau, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Professional Golf Invitational Tournament is undertook by Guangdong Golf Association, Hong Kong Golf Association and Macau Golf Association and strongly supported by the Foshan Golf Club, Guangzhou Xianglong Group Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Hanking Group, Guangdong Jinxian Group Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Rongde Group, CT Environmental Group Limited and Guangdong Camsing Holding Group Co., Ltd.

赛事奖金总额为20万元人民币，总杆冠军还将获得2018年10月18-21日在佛山高尔夫球会举办的欧洲高尔夫球挑战巡回赛—佛山公开赛的参赛资格，与世界优秀职业球员同场竞技！

The total prize money of the tournament is 200,000 Renminbi and the Gross Champion will get the pass to the 2018 European Challenge Tour-Foshan Open (October 18th to 21st at the Foshan Golf Club), competing against talents from all around the world.
